Raw Story, a top political and investigative news website, is seeking a full time Deputy Managing Editor. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting content, writing up news articles, doing periodic reporting and editing, and managing and recruiting members of the Raw Story team. SUMMARY: Supports the Operations Division of ATSI through the coordination and oversight of transcription and editing services across a defined set of multi-specialty clinic and radiology clients. Ensures that ATSI consistently meets the performance expectations with each client and promptly addresses the day-to-day needs of both the clients and the internal support staff (medical transcriptionists, medical editors, and supervisory and peer team members). WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position supports the Director of Client Services by providing oversight of daily transcription and editing services across a defined set of multi-specialty clinic and radiology clients. This position will also serve as the key representative and supervisory support for a designated group of medical transcriptionists and medical editors. This position will interact with project management, information technology, sales, recruiting and other forms of support staff as projects and responsibilities demand.
CAREER PATH: ATSI is a rapidly growing and expanding transcription company with new opportunities being created on a regular basis. Successful performance in this role may provide further advancements within the Operations division or allow for other opportunities in related divisions should the needs of the organization and skills and performance of the individual align.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*7-10 years of experience in health information management (HIM) or medical transcription and/or direct experience with medical transcription service organizations strongly preferred.
*RHIA, RHIT, CMT, RMT, or other industry certifications strongly preferred but not required.
*Ability to successfully manage and adapt to change efforts, new systems, and processes.
*Advanced communication skills (oral and written), must be able to clearly present ideas.
*Well-developed listening skills.

The following is a brief synopsis of our benefits and compensation plans for Full-Time Medical Transcriptionists with Precyse Solutions for 2009:
- Paid Time Off (PTO) begins accruing from day one with Precyse for each line you transcribe. PTO averages between 3 weeks to 4 weeks of pay. Paid Time Off for the first year of service is paid at .00 50 per line. At your one year anniversary, your PTO increases to .0065 per line. Our PTO is designed to cover vacation, holidays, and any other time off that you would like paid. You pay yourself out of your accrued account.
- We currently supply a full computer setup to full time MTs at no cost.
- We have a 401k with a company match of 25 cents on the dollar of the first 4% you save with a five year vesting period. New Hires are eligible to enroll after 6 months of service. You may rollover from a current 401k prior to that.
- Our pay periods are bi-weekly every other Friday and we have direct deposit.
- Our medical benefit coverage is with Aetna. Benefits begin the 1st of the month following 90 days of service.
- We have three very affordable dental options to choose from with Aetna and two vision plans with Eyemed.
- We have Medical and Day Care Flexible Spending accounts.
- We provide 30k in life insurance. Additional insurance can be purchased as well as spouse life insurance.
- Short Term and Long Term Disability are optional.
- Our line rate is based upon Shift Differentials, Years of Experience, Production Rate, CMT certification and the largest factor – Quality Audit %. There are pay premiums for certain accounts.
- Our production bonus is $50 per pay period if the MT produces 12,000 lines or more in that bi-weekly time period.
